we have had kernel exploit on ps4 since 1.76 and nothing came of it, im not holding my breath.

Most likely kernel exploit that could lead to other stuff. We honestly don't know what this developer is talking about unfortunately.

That should give you an idea of some games. If they work on 1.76 they will work on 3.70.

Even if they release a cfw, its not worth for me to get banned. Its awesome for homebrew, still not safe to go online unless theres tools just like ps3 cfw.

4.07 was rolled not too long ago

On other news, and related to the thread topic: There is some user in twitter who posted a big chunk of the idps offset in the 1.76 kernel dumped. In theory, that should allow decryption of content. Let's wait and see.

The exploit is the real deal and had been demoed recently by a Chinese hacker group before they sent Sony a complete bug report giving them the ability to fix it. The 4.05 update was thought to be meant to fix it as it was dropped the same day but indeed it did not fix it til the update 4.06

I agree with you. There's some critical githubs getting >3.00 commits lately, though.

Marca made some commits regarding the 3.55 through 4.05 firmware To fail0verf0ws git quite recently... As I said before the exploit is real but that doesn't mean it'll be publicly released.

Indeed. Nobody should be questioning whether or not it's real - it is. The hope is that now the exploit has patched in 4.06, maybe the exploit will become public.

If people are waiting for Chaitin's exploit it'll probably never be released. More than likely when they sent it over to sony they probably had them sign an NDA or something similar.
