Hacking PS3 Game Updates

Still new to the PS3 scene. Running KMEAW 3.55. When you check for GAME updates through multiman and it finds something, what exactly is it? For example, found an update for Madden 11. What will that add to my game if installed? TIA

It all depends on the game itself.

For football games it can be player's name update according to their clubs.
For Wipeout, it's a bug correction while loading online advertising to be displayed when playing a track.

You should google the update version number or search on the official developer's website to find what the update will change in the game.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was a roster update. I did Google this pkg but found nothing.

It's not the pkg that you need to google (it you do that, you mmight find the actual pkg file, but not the information you need).
Just search on the developers or publishers website or forum. there might be a way to know what each update is doing.
