I just picked up this ps3 cecha01 unit from someone at work that just had it laying around for a whopping $15 its on firmware 4.15 (well soon to change to rebug 4.84.2 as soon as im done enabling cfw. This will be my 2nd a01 model and was wondering if theres a market for these anymore.
I'd honestly say refurbish it, change thermalpaste between the chips and IHS, upgrade the HDD to a nice size etc.
It's got PS2 hardware build in so it has 100% BC.

Yeah definatly have to change thermo paste i need to change it on my other one too might as well do it on both and yeah the full backwards compatibility is why i have held onto my original ps3 for so long so many ps1 and 2 games i have
