I havn't been in the ps3 scean for a bit, can you play new games? Last I got was uncharted can you play new games that came out since then? Anyway would this mean all games would be playable?

You can play some new games using the True Blue dongle and CFW. Note that not all games will work. Just do a google search.

This would be a new hack similar to what we know as WODE.
the picture you see are this baby which is only an adapter for esata.
There working on it for sure... can they acheive it? only time will tell...

What bugs me about this is that their description of it seems to imply it's dependent on the firmware already installed for the rest of the system... which means $ony can likely patch it out if they figure out how it works.

IF by some chance I am wrong, and it's self-contained with the optical drive, then it should work regardless of the firmware on the given PS3. And IF its functionality will also allow loading of PS1/2 ISOs (for BC ps3's), this may just be what I needed.
