I have an original "fat" PS3 and am still able to play PS2 games on it. I was wondering if it was possible to use codes such as with Action Replay on PS2 games on my PS3 through homebrew or CFW or something. Please let me know and thanks :)

Could be wrong, but AFAIK you can use one of the Action Replay/Xploder/Gameshark discs that are PS2 compatible and then insert a PS2 game disc as per normal to enable cheats, but i don't think there is a homebrew alternative.

This is the same as PS1, but you can also use CWCHEAT on the PSP for PS1 games if you transfer your saves over.

Edit: apparently there is a way to do it which involves re-building the PS2ISO so that a codebreaker is booted when the ISO is booted, then it goes into the game afterwards. You can find a tutorial HERE.
