the problem afaik with the ps3 and ps1 is cdda (afaik thps doesn't have music)

most ps2 games will run on even on non bc units (expect lag for 3d games)
this improves for fat bc units

Canis Canem Edit is on PSN as PS2 classic for PS3 here in Europe - why would a non BC ps3 have lag with PS2 3D games... ? o_O

Klonoa 2 almost at the ending of the game crashes. It was about 2 years ago.. They update the latest version and don't know if it is fix or not. Anybody finish this game on PS3 webMan with cobra enable in rebug for the latest version ? Curiosity.

because the ps2 hardware isn't there? - correct me if i'm wrong, but that's how I've always thought things were. source: https://gbatemp.net/threads/backwards-compatible-vs-non-bc-ps3.347064/#post-4626378

unless magically it isn't that way anymore.

anyway, this is also from my personal experience

Burnout 3 lags a lot on my slim
whilst it plays Fine on my Fat BC unit :)

From googling it looks like it crashes on a 80 gb ps3 and was never fixed, I dont think anyone in the homebrew scene has done anything to improve sonys software ps2 emulator.

From googling it ? When was that ? Recently with an update rebug and cobra update ? Mine is PS3 slim 120GB with everything update recently and hadn't test Klona 2 again since crashed two years ago with an old rebug and cobra versions. Now when was that ? Thanks.

2009, but it has nothing to do with rebug. All they did was enable to software emulation the 80 gb us ps3 used(or I guess more accurately cobra did), sony stopped supporting it and many games have some issues. Your best best is to get a ps2, 60 gb ps3 or play on pc. There is actually a way to get the ps2 game saves from the ps3 to work with pcsx2.

Maybe... I will replay to see how it is going. I know about those things. I just ask about this one due to crashes issues, thats all. :)
