I burned every one of my backups at 4x and just one caused reading problems... Sonic Unleashed, but I re-burned at same speed on another DVD and works perfectly, the problem was the cheap disc... Jeje.

1. CLOSE ALL APPS (uTorrent, Limewire, WinRAR, MSN)
2. Imgburn @ 4x write speed
3. Verbatim DVD+R

*make sure your DVD writer is relatively stable! U dont wanna be using a 5 yr old burner than has passed its 3000 burn mark ! brand new LG drives go for $25!

You will never screw up like this!

Most of DVD writers manufactures provide application to determine best writing speed for a particular media _without actual burning_. I use QSuite (it’s for BENQ drives only).

Never knew there was a software like this.....

GOOD FIND DUDE!

primero que nada aqui no es: "Jeje". La traducción es "lol" o "hehe" en todo caso

and @ OP geez do you call 92% a good burn, I've tested all my burns and they all get between 97.73% and 98.63% I've burnt on Verbatim MCC-004-00 DVD+R at 16X 'cuz that's what the disc says, Sony SONY-D21-00 DVD+R at 16X 'cuz that's what the disc says, Memorex CMC MAG-M01-00 DVD+R at 8X 'cuz this one is kind of crappy and didn't want to waste the 25pack spindle, my writter is a LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165H6S on HS0E firmware, hooked thru an adapter of IDE>USB2.0 to my Laptop...!!! hope all take a note of this when saying ".....burning at 2X or even better at 0.1X will get a better burn"

EDIT: Oh! I forgot

This is totally 100% absolutely I'll bet my house on it FALSE. I burn at low speeds all the time, never an issue no matter what media I am using. I got shitty Imation discs to work, and good quality dvd's to work. Burnt at 1x,2x,3x etc.

lol, yes, you've just proven that you've made some bad burns, and perhaps have some software/driver problems.

Any idiot could've done this, but noone did because it does not serve as PROOF in GENERAL, it just does for you.

I've burned all my games on DVD+Rs at 2x and they are all high quality (Tested and checked).
