GCN Problems with some burnt games

I have a gamecube with xenogc modchip. It has a replaced laser with low hours and the pot tweaked to 190 and I use ritek g04 mini dvd's. I can't get some games to work, mario sunshine, ssb, and mario kart. Im burning games at 2x using imgburn. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello. Did you try different DVD brands? Also, did you try to burn at 1x? Some are picky with these parameters.

Ive only used the one dvd brand because ive read everywhere they are the best. imgburn wont let me burn at 1x but maybe ill try forcing it with clonecd.

Burn swiss to a disc, then load games from sdgecko. xenogc has the major limitation that it can only boot discs.

I'm trying to boot discs. looking for suggestions for that.

If you have a softmodded Wii or GC and GCMM, you can try to load swiss from a memory card and then, load your games from an SD gecko.

does anyone have any suggestions of things I can try.

Have you tried another dump of the problematic games? Maybe the ISOs are corrupted. Also when burning the disc check the verify option in ImgBurn so you can be sure that the burn went OK.
