Hacking Problems Identifying Version of Wii System Menu, Specifically 3.3 or 3

Hello,

My cousin had just bought a wii about a month ago, and it has System Menu 3.3U.
How do I find out if it is 3.3U or 3.3U 23 October.

well, you count backwards a month and finds out it was around the 28th of october.. and thus VERY unlikely updated with the just 5 day old update..

or, you could try to install homebrew channel 8(not 9, as that one works with newer versions), if it doesnt work you got 3.3v2.

There's not a 3.3 or 3.3v2. There's only 3.3! The system menu code isn't updated by the october update. It only installs a new IOS and patches the existing ones to fix fakesigning.
