Hacking Problem with update

Hello. I have bought an o3ds with 4.1.0-4e firmware. I want yo update to 9.2, I follow this guide : https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update-(rxTools-2.5.2). I copied everything but i have a problem with step "8. Open the browser and go to one of the following URLs on your 3DS". I tried all links but it launch a normal site ( it doesnt do anything), i dont get any error or crash. What im doing wrong? Pls help

Thats because browserhax doesn't work for 4.1.0. You need to use the mset exploit (need ds flashcard) to install the update or alternative buy a game that has a 9.0-9.2 update inside and install it.

Game card updates will not work for updating to use browserhax as they do not update the browser at all.

Can you make a screenshot showing the contents of your sd card? It sounds like either you are missing a file, have one in the wrong place or have the wrong version of a file.

You were using the right guide in the first post. The rxTools 3.0 guide is for 5.x.x users only cuz the payload wont work with 4.x iirc.

I think Gateway may have altered the payloads being delivered by their website, so try going to http://go.gateway-3ds.com/old/

File structure looks to be in order, assuming all files came from the links in https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update-(rxTools-2.5.2)

Some cursory research suggests that the -4 browser version is problematic for the older browser launch methods (not really browserhax back then).

RxTools 3.0 (used by the mset link you listed earlier) won't work on 4.x at all, which is why you were getting a blackscreen.

Can you get me a list of the CRC-32 hashes for Launcher.dat, Decrypt9WIP.dat, rxTools.dat and slot0x25keyX.bin?

If you need a quick and easy way to generate those, installing 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) will allow you to right click on the file and select "CRC SHA" in the menu to generate various hashes.

All of those values match the files I get when I download them, so they should be good.

The fact that you dont get any error at all is weird to me. You are opening the sites in the browser on your 3ds right? Not the computer?

Any chance you could take a picture of what happens when you load each site?

While you are at it, can you open the settings in the browser and scroll to the bottom? There should be a field called "Version Information", can you tell me what it says?

wtf... you are the second person I have tried to help today with a NUP version of -10 or lower and a browser version of 1.7625. That is the newest version (afaik) for the O3DS, which is installed with -32 and is why browserhax is not working right for you. Its a true frankenfirmware at this point.

Then unfortunately, afaik, there is nothing much you can do.

If you could get a copy of Pokemon X/Y, i would say use it to update to 6.x (after entering safe-mode to clear the existing update files), then trying the rxtools mset guide you linked earlier in the thread. Otherwise you are probably limited to sending it off to someone with the ability to to use other tools/entrypoints like CubicNinja or a hardmod.
