I recently started looking at Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and I've discovered a lot of stuff, but I still need to extract the audio files from the game. They're all contained inside a .bcsar file (standard 3ds audio archive I know) and I'm having some problems extracting them. I already tried the BCSAR tool used to extract pokemon x/y audio files, but it crashes after extracting a few files (the file names are dumped correctly though) and I'd like to ask if anybody has other tools to extract them. If you do please PM me :)

Some don't work for some reason, like Tales of the Abyss's bcsar. The game audio itself for Paper Jam shouldn't be in that file, though?

Only the theme songs are outside, everything else is inside the bcsar archive. :T

Tried extracting them with 3ds Audio Ripper and got something out of it (valid bcwav and cseq files), but still the files seems to not work. They have a valid header and everything, but they just don't want to play (tried with both vgmstream and 3dsexplorer). If anybody wants the .bcsar file just hit me up by pm and I'll send it to you :)

What a coincidence, I wanted to start a thread because just yesterday I ran into the same problem while trying to get the music of Nintendo Badge Arcade. I'm searching for the music that plays when you have more than one play remaining in a crane game as well as the version with the percussion elements that are added when the crane is moving. There are a lot of aac and bcstm files found in the stream folder, but none of these are the ones I want. They seem to be hidden in the bcsar as well! After some time of research I ended up where you are, @caprathebest. I hope someone can help us!:D

Those could be sequenced files, aka .cseq
If they are, they should be in the .bcsar
