It is, but you can install CIOS249 if you havent already. Then you can downgrade to cIOS 222 v4

ugh someone gave me this game as a gift. Rather than letting it collect dust i might as well try it. However usb loading doesn't work. I have tryed every combo of hermies v4 with different settings. Only 38 merged with 37 gets past the black screen. However soon as i hit start game in the game menu, it crashes to a balck screen with a buzzing noise. Nothing can get this game to work with usb loading, congrats nintendo, you finally fucked up hackers!

No, they only fucked up a very few select people who obviously aren't doing things correctly.

No. I have tryed almost everything said on these forums to get it to run. I even tryed wiiflow, but it won't run fat32 drives like usb loader gx. Will try config loader tomarrow, if it doesnt work, the backup will be deleted and game sold on ebay.

If i had a spare i would tryed it already lol. I currantly have no room to backup the pc data else where. oh well.

if the game is anything like the psp game's demo, than it would suck anyways.

cios 223 v5 (base : 37)
and it's ok

Hi, thanks for the tip.
I managed to get it to work with USB Loader GX last night.

However, I try to run it again today and it makes a buzzing sound and freezes.
What's wrong?

I was able to play it yesterday, but now I can't.

Try another Loader, like Wiiflow (the one I use most) or Configable USB Loader

Are you sure you used the REV914 with cios 223v5(base : 37) ?

afaik, you need to save the settings for that game, itneed to use the cIOS with base 37 (IOS223 in your case) every time it loads the game
if that worked once, there is no reason it shouldn't work anymore unless you did not saved the settings (I also know that for a dummy reason, USB Loader GX need to be restarted tfor the options to be taken in account)

Use cios222 v4 base37/38
1. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
2. Read the warning message and push A
3. Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
4. Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37
5. Wait for download and installation to complete
6. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
7. Select IOS249 to perform the install again
8. This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60
9. Finally, use IOS249 to perform install again.
10. Select Custom IOS 224 and use IOS57 as base.
*IOS223 gives you an alternative option for merged IOS in this way. It is exactly the same as IOS222 otherwise.
*Experiment with other merges or not merging at all if neither of the options provided here work for you,
or cios249 rev19 base 37 or 223 v5 37 base any of these should work

This worked for me, thanks

Hi,

I've been trying to run MH3 on my usual WBFS usb disk and had no success.

Here's what I done

Use cios222 v4 base37/38
1. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer - CHECK!
2. Read the warning message and push A - CHECK!
3. Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A - CHECK!
4. Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37 - CHECK!
5. Wait for download and installation to complete - CHECK!
6. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again - CHECK!
7. Select IOS249 to perform the install again - CHECK!
8. This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60 - CHECK!
9. Finally, use IOS249 to perform install again. - Hmm. By this time, I ran cios222 v4 base37/38 installer, picked IOS249 and in the next screen I only had IOS 202, IOS 222 and IOS 223. There was no IOS 224 to choose! I decided to run cios222 v5
10. Select Custom IOS 224 and use IOS57 as base. - I ran cIOS 222 v5, selected 224 and IOS57. Everything went fine.

Booted Wii, etc. Tried running MH3... and nothing. Black screen whenever I try to start a game, I get black screen.

I also updated USB Loader GX to its latest DOL, 924. Nothing to.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Ran cIOS Installer Xr19

Installed:

IOS37-64-v3869.wad -> Instruments.
IOS38-64-v3867.wad -> Same as previous cIOSs, Stable
IOS57-64-v5661.wad -> Works best with newer games
IOS60-64-v6174.wad -> Better Network Support

Same result. Black screen after choosing to start a new game on MH3.
