I'm having a problem with my R4 at the moment.

When i put it into my DS, and switch my DS on, it doesn't recognise it at all.
Tried removing the card and reinserting, tried the old gameboy trick of blowing on the contacts, but nothing works.
I've even tried my R4 in my brother's DS lite, which works, and my brother's R4 in my DS, which also works.

Actual DS games work, so i don't have a clue what's wrong.

anyone got any magic ideas?

incase anyone asks, it's a DS phat, and an original R4.

This was happening to me. What I did was open the casing up and cut 2 pieces of paper (printer paper) and put them in there, then closed it back up. Has been reading fine ever since.

i managed to get it to boot.

it seems the circuit board moved downwards when i put the micro SD in, causing it to not work, so i have to push it upwards with the stylus if it stops working.

where abouts did you put the print paper inside it, and was it easy to open up and close again?

If you put the paper under the contacts it should work.

sorry about my incompotence, but do you mean underneath the circuit board, within the casing, or in the tiny gap between the contacts and the bottom of the case, when held vertically?
