Hacking Private Header

I plan on getting my own private header later today, but had some questions.

1. I plug the retail game (Streetfighter) into the game slot, and open Gateway menu (using 9.2 SysNAND)
from there i backup my game to the SD slot. I download a program, extract the header from the retail backup, and then what? Can i with the same program open my pirated Omega Ruby, and insert the header?

2. What file name does it have to have? .3ds .3dz?

3. Are there any reports so far from people getting banned doing this method?

4. I played through the demo of ORAS, can i send my pokemon to my backup ruby?

I think that if you change your header the save file becomes corrupted since part of the header is used to encrypt/decrypt the savefile

if you are using Gateway or MTcard, you need to rename the filename to .3dz if you want to enable online and use the header. if you don't care about online and header then keep .3ds file extension.
If you are using Sky3DS, it's always using the header and the filenames are only .3ds extensions.

The reason why i want a private header is for Online, otherwise i wouldnt have to bother

also, my retail is an EU game, the pokemon game i want is US, does that matter?

Yes, I know. I just add more information for other users reading/finding this thread on google.

You can use your header with all games and all region.
We don't know if the header has specific game information stored in it (nintendo could check that you are not using the proper region or game), but it works fine and nobody has been banned using private headers yet.

I backed my retail up, extracted the header, opened gateway patcher, opened downloaded rom, clicked import header from file, clicked my header, but it says acess to path denied. Help :S

Ok fixed that. Rom was Read only. btw, i didnt click Clear Header first on the backup rom, does that matter? (it was something like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF)

Can i use my private header for more than 1 game btw?

use edit instead of posting multiple messages.

You don't need to clean header, replacing it has the same effect as clear+replace.
Clear is making it "fffffff" again, which means there's no header.
You can use many games with the same header, as long as you don't play online with the same header with two games at the same time. (if you have multiple 3DS/gateway and give the same ROM to family, friend, etc.)

Sorry about the triple posting. One last question, can i use link to transfer the bonuses from the demo to the full game?

And if i do get banned, can i still use the browser exploit to launch gateway?

I don't know about your first question.
I suppose you are talking about bonus like in Bravely default?
Someone else will have to answer that.

If you are banned, you can't play online or open the friend list.
Eshop is working, you can download updates, buy games, and launch the browser and use the exploits.

Alright thanks. Asking because ive not downgraded my sysNAND.

about the first question, if you play through the ORAS demo, you basicly can send a pokemon over to the retail game via Pokemon Link or something. Was wondering if selecting the game via gateway (so that the icon is selected) would work to transfer it.
