Hacking PRIILOADER BETA Update v0.8.3

You can use the Update Option from PRIILOADER
when you activate "Show Beta Updates" in the PRIILOADER Settings.

I wonder how much it's been tested since it's release. Is anyone able to comment on its stability?

Is there an option to turn off priiloader updates? This is one thing I think priiloader should NOT do. Priiloader impacts a sensitive area of the wii's boot up process that I think updates should only be done intentionally and manually

POWER Button works perfect for SELECTION (please press it short !!)
RESET Button executes.

Priiloader never had, and never will have automatic updates. there are mods of priiloader out there that do this, but Priiloader itself NEVER will.
any updating done in priiloader is via the update menu and even then you can just read the changelog and not update. this is fully user controlled. beta updates even need to be enabled in the settings.
YOU of all people should know this as you were in the scene back when i took over Preloader.

Yes i released this beta some time ago because some users wanted the front panel as input. this was for them, not for everyone to use (beta for a reason). I'm currently still working on this (check Github : https://github.com/DacoTaco/priiloader )

a decent 0.9 is on the way though, so i would skip this release and wait for 0.9 beta unless you want to test the changes of 0.8.3

i was never a fan of using the front buttons, but yes. i hope so too.
there is more to come on that, specially for wii-mini.
keep in mind the front buttons don't work all that well (specially with holding reset for opening priiloader which accidentally start SM) but will be fixed in 0.9

In my defence I was asking a question, I never tinkered with integrated priiloader updates so admittedly this is a gap in my knowledge/memory. Anyway, after you explained it I think how you've integrated priiloader updates is fine, I respect that you don't have any kind of auto update functionality. You and I have had our fair share of arguments as well as collaborations (remember who first gave you the idea/request for a magic word feature?), so forgive me if my post upset you, I didn't mean to offend.

Kudos for maintaining the project, and I'm excited to test out v0.9 release. Think we'll ever see a v1.0/final? Lol

In my defence I was asking a question, I never tinkered with integrated priiloader updates so admittedly this is a gap in my knowledge/memory.

a question that was insinuating i had automatic updates and that they are bad. learn what and how to say things. you don't wanna know how easy a sentence like that can be thrown into the face of another these days.

Think we'll ever see a v1.0/final? Lol

probably. its getting new life blown in it atm and i have no idea how long that'll last.
however, i have legit wondered of keeping the 0.9 version line forever just to never reach 1.0 lol


(side note btw, Priiloader turned 10 years in November of 2019. ill let that sink in)
