I think my acekard 2i may have been from the bad batch that was going around. My acekard hasnt gone bad yet, but i want to do what ever i need to do to prevent it from going bad.

anybody know what precautions i should take? Waht triggers the acekard to go bad.

And maybe im just paranoid and my acekard is fine. But i think I bought around the time the bad batch was going around.

Go into AKAIO and look for the hardware revision (I think it's in properties) see what hardware revision number it is and whether or not that revision was part of the bad batches.

The system properties in AKAIO shows you the Hardware Revision ID (eg. 44 or 81) it doesn't show the batch number. 44 is the older revision and 81 is newer. Nobody knows which batch was bad.
