Hi, I'm probably going to update my switch soon to play SSBU online. I'm currently on 6.1, and I was wondering what precautions to take beforehand, I already made boot0/1, raw gpp, and eMMC system backups, but not the user as it was too large for the sd card. Any other steps to take to be safe?

If you use homebrew offline, especially Atmos so it is unlikely for you to be banned.

Check the error history if you have suspicious or mysterious error codes. If you did so it is better to restore the NAND backup or delete the logs if you never went online.

It looks like you should be OK - just remove CFW folders from SD card before go online.

Do you have any error codes in error history? They are under Health and Safety in setting.
Remove CFW folders?
And yes,
2137-8035
2016-0120
2181-8035
2110-2003
2110-1100
2203-0017

What 2203-0017, 2181-8035 and 2016-0120 looks like any reason?

2137-8035, 2110-1100 and 2110-2003 are normal error codes due to internet issues, however if Nintendo see you have 2137-8035, coupled with CFW related errors so they assume that you use DNS to block Nintendo's servers.

I do block their servers usually, or at least I try

did u restore a clean nand backup? if u dont im agree with the first reply, save your money. Nintendo will catch you easy, there are traces on your system, exit one difficult alternative its possible to do a clean nand manually. https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-setup-emunand-keep-sysnand-online.520471/ i recomend you read "clean up", anyway you could find more info about this theme check banning hub thread for example, i wish you the best of luck :D

Oh I see... Did you back up the NAND before you use CFW? If you did, I recommended you to restore.

If you didn't, so just remove CFW from SD folder and go online, so praying for not get a ban.

I don't think I can restore a 4.1 backup to a 6.1 system.

Ouch, you are correct - don't restore the NAND backup if lower than 6.1 and it will be a lot of headache to fix the issue. Some people restored 4.1 NAND and upgraded to 6.1 via ChoiDujour, so update to 6.2 via official Nintendo's server. It is unclear if Nintendo see your on 4.1 and fuses blown are higher to be suspicious and could ban you.

Gambia, The
Dreport deletes all the errors completely.
Or just delete SYSTEM/save/80000000000000D1
Or do factory restore settings.
Or delete SYSTEM/save/*.*
And delete UPDATE/*.* except emunand files.

There wont be any data store elsewhere.
But it's okay to stay offline to avoid ban.
