Hacking Preloader v0.30 Updater

It doesn't have Gamecube support, it can't scroll to the side using the D-pad for either controller

And I have a quarter of a bar of battery left on my Wii-Mote lol. I'm poor.

i totally agree with the side scrolling with the d pad.

that was one of the best features.

Exactly, I definitely prefer HBC 1.06 otherwise, but until that is fixed I'm staying with 1.03. So yeah.

and if it loads HAXX, JODI or both

just tried a lame Kingston 4GB SDHC cards

couldnt read the hacks.ini
dont count on it though, this card has really bad compatibility issues, although hbc reads it fine.

if you don't supply the source it is as illegal as SNEEK and you can really get sued about that.

Installation went fine, didn't need to patch ios36 for it.

Anyway, it code-dumps when I try to load the installed file.

If I go to load/install file and load the file from there, it works fine.
If I install the file and then load it through "installed file", it code-dumps.

.29 code dumped alot for that option as well.

Not for me. .29 did codedump when using a forwarder that forwarded to the sd/usb, but not with this particular dol I installed now. 0.30 does codedump with this same dol though. Gonna have to reinstall 4.2 sysmenu I guess and then reinstall .29.

Oh, and return to autoboot doesn't seem to function. It just returns to preloader.

yea only small .dol really work with the autoboot dol.

try a wad manager in .29 using the autoboot dol feature.

almost guaranteed code dump.

The dol that worked in .29 is 6MB, it's the wiiflow dol.

why do all you idiots want his source? the preloader source and also the patch for the source with the bootmii stuff is already available. are you really bitching about getting the unfinished source for his installer? why not wait till it is a finished installer and then worry about the source? or maybe since he doesn't want to share the source till it is done, you would prefer that he not share his work-in-progress too? you people are stupid.

I will be making the full source available once i have dealt with any minor bugs. I am not obliged to release the installer code, but as i am an open source kind of guy i probably will

As preloader is wrapped with commercial nand booting code stolen directly from the official Nintendo System Menu i'm not too concerned about legalities here. If anyone is going to sue anyone it will be Ninty firing their guns. As i pointed out in another thread, preloader is both legally and technically "warez".

Funny that .... All these people on here shouting they want the source and its illegal for you to keep it to yourself and technically they will be breaking the law for having illegal ninty code if you do release the source. I am just happy that someone is carrying on with the project.

As far as I am concerned what you do with the source is up to you. I only ask that if you give up on the project that you then release it for somebody else to maybe take it up..

No worries, i have enough users to finish the testing phases so i will update this thread with new links and sources in due course.
