Well when I enable Force Disk Region the only game from my region that won't play is Pikmin so I'm going to assume that it's the game as oppose to my TV. (My TV supports both NTSC and PAL)

Or am I just completely misunderstanding you!?

It is the game. Some games can't work on foreign tv's. Its probably the force disk region, tampering with the Pikmin code that disallows it.

the best solution is to patch your pal to ntsc including the video mode. so far i'm testing pal games with my ntsc wii, all games boot fine. just make sure the game support the resolution that u wish to change. several game only support interlaced ntsc (example like brunswick pro bowling, trauma center second opinion, etc), so if u patch your pal game to progressive, the game will boot but the video will messed up.

fyi, im using 3.2u with preloader .27 with force disc region set to disable.

i use this steps. not all steps are necessary but to be safe i follow all the steps, so far no problem.
-i use wiiscrubber 1.31, open your backup (iso) and search for main.dol in partition 2.
-right click the file and extract
-drag main,dol to wglp.exe (wiigamelanguagepatcher) and select option 2
-open main.dol using genericwiipatcher
-click video mode changer and change all the video setting to ntsc progressive or interlaced base on game and your tv. 1st i check whether the game itself support 480p or not. if the game only support 480i, u need to use interlaced setting instead
-use wiiscrubber to replace the main.dol which already edited
-srcubbed your iso n wiiscrubber will make new compressed iso
-use regionfrii and patch your iso to ntsc.
-burn n enjoy

(u need to disable force disc region in preloader).

...after searching through endless pages of threads...

Now if what I've read is true, there is a way (or a hack) for Preloader that will allow the immediate booting of backups in the disc channel. Short Answer: yes. (from what I've read)

However, I haven't seen anything of the sort that instructs that.
I would have guessed it's a sect of the hack.ini that would allow the reconfiguration of the IOS to 249:
Code:
[IOS Reloading]
version=289
offset=0x[The address patch is found]
value=0x3B200001
[IOS Reloading]
version=289
offset=0x[Add 4 to the address where partch is found]
value=0x3B0000F9

But as I tried running this hack on my 3.2U wii, I get a fatal error code dump that nearly turned me white when I thought I bricked my wii.

So is there a way to tell Preloader that it's ok to load backups via the disc channel? It would seem to be a popular request, yet it's not answered in this thread. Any ideas? solutions?

I have a preloader issue, ok i had softmii 9.5 installed in my Wii and everything fine, and i selected that everytime i turn on my wii it boot preloader 0.27(cuz my RESET button doesnt work) But after I installed the Mios Patcher for the NGC Backup Loader (i installed Mios v0.4 with rungcbackups + Wii Backup Launcer) everytime i turn on my wii preloader doesn't appear anymore. I have tried every Mios Version (0.4, 0.5, 0.8) but nothing I even run Any Region Changer mod5 1.1b and installed a new, fresh 3.2U and installed softmii 1.0 but preloader does not appear. What i'm doing wrong? What i should do? Can someone help me?

when booting the wii, hold reset, and you'll enter the preloader menu.

Tried that mate, it just boots normally. I dont think Preloader is actually there anymore. Just remnants of it.

That happen to me too what i should do?

BTW i tried to uninstall the hacks.ini from my wii with hack remover but it failed

the install code dont work

H = home
A = A
R = Right
D = Down
L = left
U = up
M = minus
P = plus

other alternative ??? i have preloader 0.27

it's indeed the install code for PL0.27, so check your version mate.

PL0.26's code is Mario Bruzza:
M= Minus
A= A
R= Right
I= 1
U= Up

B= B
R= Right
U= Up
Z= 2
Z= 2
A= A

Are you sure that you have the 0.27 version? Double check what you enter.
Or type the previous one (mariu bruzza) coz i know that some package were bundled with 0.26 but claiming it's 0.27.
