Hacking Preloader doesn't install

I tried to install preloader 0.29, but it hangs at the "Warning this could brick your wii... Turn off your wii now if you do not want to install" screen.

I'm using System Menu 4.0u, I used "Method 1" of this guide to update

I pressed the 1 button and there was some text at the top of the screen, then it just went back to the homebrew channel
I couldn't read it because it was up too high and I could only see the bottom of it... It looked like it said something about fakesigning.

I turned off my Wii then turned it back on while holding the reset button, but nothing happened.

Any ideas?

i don't know.

the problem you first mentioned isn't really a problem. that is simply the intro screen to the installer. it "hangs" there for everyone because you have to press 1 (sometimes twice) to start the installer.

that new problem you mentioned about fakesigning, i can't help you with. sorry.

IOS Downgrader will put back the trucha bug in your system. Then preloader can install
