Hardware Power saving

Do you know any applications that could somehow limit my graphic card and RAM when it is not in use? I'm using a notebook, so it would be nice to have some power saving stuff to enhance the battery life.

If you have Vista (I haven't had an XP laptop) it isn't hard to go into the advance settings and make your own power plan for maximum/minumum processor clock speed, graphics card performance, ect, ect

Chances are, it already is. Click on the battery, it should be set to "portable/laptop". Aside from suffering major performance loss by selecting "Max battery" there isn't anything much you can do.
