I've been hearing a lot about a new hack on the Vita that uses firmware update 3.73. Is this necessary if you've already installed an older hack on your systems? Does it improve stability and offer new features I wouldn't have on my years-old hack on firmware version 3.60? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

You don't have to. 3.60 is the best firmware version. Most plugins are targetted for 3.6. Later games can be played with the reF00d plugin.

@ArugulaZ ,if you have installed 3.60 in your PS Vita, you only need update your plugin,it isn't necessary to upgrade to 3.73.

Thanks, much appreciated! (Plug in? Which plug in was that?)
@ArugulaZ ,i use Autoplugin 2 on my PS Vita Slim 3.65 Enso,in this app you will find the plugins you may need.
The reFood plugin or Osyscall, serves to trick the PS Vita so that you don't have to install newer firmware for downloaded and installed games.
