Hardware Possible to run / start HB without drive?

Hey all,

Just wondering here, official channels can't be run if you don't have a wii drive attached (it blackscreens). You can however start things without problems (and stay in the Wii main menu for ages) so you can start the HBC. However does the HBC (and things started from there) also black-screen when you don't have a drive attached?

Don't think anyone tried this yet, and I would myself if I had a Wii with the HBC channel installed
