Hey, please don’t hate if I ask completely ridiculous and stupid questions..I’m new this 3DS hacking

Anyway, I’ve managed to get my hands on a copy of Freaky Forms Deluxe and got Homebrew on my New 3DS 11.6. Anyway, I was looking into getting CFW on my 3DS.

Basically I’m asking can someone dumb down an explanation for me to what I need to purchase (if I do), where I can purchase said tools/hardware from and links to any guides.

Thanks in advance!!

Freakyhax give you homebrew access only not custom Firmware, you would need a NTRBoot compatible flash cart to install CFW

The cheapest option for 11.6 is the single system DSiWare method requiring a 2$ title.

Thanks for the speedy reply! Do you have any suggestions on what Flash cart to use? And any tutorial you have used? Thanks :)

Thank you also! Do you have any personal experience with any tutorials or am I best to just YouTube it?

You need to got to 3ds.guide for putting cfw on your 3ds for the first time,it will tell you everything you need.

Any youtube videos you use to install cfw on the 3ds specifically are known to brick your console

Actually, don't know why, but 3ds.guide has yet to update the pages to show that single system DSiWare method is available and provide instructions, so it's not exactly helpful...

Oh well that sucks! I guess I’ll just have to wait until they’ve updated then. Thank you :)

No, the release archive instead for the method has detailed instructions, use those.

In honesty I think it would be much safer for me to purchase a flash card to do this, can you recommend one? I have NEW 3DS on 11.6

This card pretty much will do it for you.It has a ntrboot switch on it so you can toggle between the 2 modes.

Awesome, I’ll look into it! Thank you for all your help (and everyone else).
Mind if I send you an F/R in case I need some help? I won’t spam you don’t worry!

Also I’m from the UK, does the region the card is from matter?
