ROM Hack Possible to add or change icon...?

Is it possible to add or change the icon used on a homebrew I have? Some don't have them and it is just a tad annoying (to me atleast). So if there are any programs or anything I need please tell me.

A program called "Romer" will allow you to do this.

icons need to be 16 colour gifs.

Also unfortunately i seem to be having a bit of trouble with transparency recently, transparent pixels just turn out white after applying the icon.

Anyone got any advice/tips with that? im using photoshop, transparency enabled.

Today i made a heap of icons, so i'll probably upload them later.

What exactly was wrong with the transparency? Just so we don't have the same problems is why I'm wondering.

well, it's strange... i'm using photoshop and i'm a bit of a noob.
your icon must be 16 colors, and the 16th color represents what will be transparent... i believe....

Reviving a dead post here but I just put up a forum for custom rom icons on my site (see sig). And yeh your correct about transparency RomeR makes the last color in the palette transparent, the readme explains it.
