If this newer sysupdater is more stable and also installs things in the optimal order, I wonder if it will be backported to the other firmwares instead of remaining as a 10.4+ thing?

Guys, got my friend's N3DS. It's at 10.6. Should i proceed in trying to downgrade?
Go on and try if you feel able to do it. I can told you I did it in mu N3DS emunand. No diference since I used cubic ninja to run it. Also, it worked perfeclty at the second try.

It's in the latest release, which means it'll work on all firmwares and never has or will need to be backported :P

I did it on my N3DS 10.6 clean sysNAND and it went to 9.2 on the first try with no errors... I just downloaded the newest starter pack and used OoT3DHax as entrypoint

Quick question: Is it the same downgrade packs that you will find on that ISO site? Or am I gonna have to download them from 3DNUS?
Just the same. Also, there was the same that I used the other time with memchunkhax2.

Quick question. What kind of data loss caused by downgrading from high firmware to 9.2? I might hear it wrongly here that downgrading will delete mii data since version difference(?) Please correct or confirm.

Nothing gets deleted. Some games may no longer work due to needing a higher firmware but no data will be lost.

This is all really offtopic! Please, you can talk about downgrade and it's concequencies in other threads!

I didn't lose mii data when I did it, I didn't even format sysnand. I think all I really lost was ironfall compatability, cartridge compatibility with games that require above firmware (like smash, but we have emunand for that), and badges (but who cares about those?)

I think I mistook badge for mii plaza stuff! So badge it is! Thanks for the info.

Are you playing good cop bad cop?

Back to topic, how does this updated hax run on <10.4 or it's only exclusive to >10.3?

No, I just try not to mees the OP mind so he can see the news. Also, this should work in any version. But maybe you prefer to use memchunkhax2 in other versions.

Ok so if I was to follow the steps from someone downgrading 10.3 to 9.2 do I do the same with 10.6 to 9.2 with this new sysupdate. I got a N3DS. Just wanting to make sure so I don't scrwew up.
