Portal gets ANOTHER update!

Portal just got another update, and rather than a bunch of cryptic Morse code and SSTV message, this patch has introduced an extension to the ending of the game. Remember how in the original ending you wake up in the parking lot and the game fades to black?

It doesn't fade to black anymore.

It's a short video, and I don't want to spoil it for you, so go ahead and watch it above, and then freak out appropriately in the comments below. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it to 3.11 before dying of excitement.

Note to other game developers: this is how you do a major announcement.

F*cking awesome. Valve is awesome.

And no, that voice isn't Dog from half-life 2, the robot in this video has a much more mechanical moving sound than Dog.

So I'm guessing they're hinting that Chell is a valuable asset to Apeture?

most likely or are they talking about the magical portal gun, where you get to roam the world killing things with portals
but from the looks of the ending you are dragged away by a robot thats was part of the glados network and will cook you with the cake lol

It's a shame that EA doesn't port these updates to PS3...

Anyway, if this is a sequel to Portal, I'll be very happy

That's pretty nice. The cool thing about all this portal nonsense is that i'm sure if i played it now, i'd get a lot more out of it than when i had played it at release. Go Valve Go!
