To all the people that have sex with their computer they love it so much, nobody cares. Take your PS3 bashing elsewhere.

This gets me pretty excited personally, as my computer (family computer) is a single core pile of shit that is pretty much at its limits smoothly running Portal. If I can, I would happily sell off the computer copy of the game, as I have no use for it. PS3 games look and run gorgeously for far less than that of getting them to run smoothly on a PC, so I'm relatively content.

I'm curious as to how well the cross platform play will run really. Hopefully they get good servers so that it all runs smoothly, or this will be nothing but a fluke. I'll eventually buy the PS3 edition of Portal 2 either way though.

A final note: I can respect all platforms, but people running into a thread going "well, this is fantastic, BUT, your system is still shit haha" is just annoying as fuck. Nobody cares for it. PC fanboys are just as, if not more annoying than 360 and PS3 fanboys.

I always prefer consoles over PC anyways. I started gaming on consoles, I'm going to die with consoles.

But I wonder why this cross platform play won't come to the Xbox. I mean, Shadowrun did cross-play, so why not this? It's not a a problem of "it's too confusing to set up", it's a problem of "we don't really want to deal with the extra bit of work to give ALL of our fans the same treatment."

if it's anything, the reason why Valve is putting Portal 2 on the PS3 is because they would be able to release updates and mods whenever they want across PSN (Not sure what Sony is like with updates but I've read they have come to an agreement) while on XBL, Microsoft doesn't allow it (see: TF2)
i never knew that . . .
damn you XBL for being so limited T.T

steam cloud support to be more specific

looks like I might get the ps3 ver
