Poker Genius?

So I went on some fake money poker room because a fellow temper suggested I do so.
Since I was bored I went along with it and joined a room with $10k.
After about half an hour, I had a stack 10x bigger than everyone else.
Just for fun I decided to go /kamikaze and went all in on the blind.
Since everyone knew I was leaving they all went in with me, thinking they could just loot me.
I had no cards (a 7 and Q dealt to me) and I was certain I was going to lose it all.
So the current cards in the middle are : 9 J 10 A
Guess what came my way on the turn?
Thats right. An 8. While everyone had two pairs etc. I went from no cards to a straight.
They all lost everything.



Oh yeah, and I haven't played in 2 years.


Just wanted to put this up since it was the most fun I had in a while.
Its not often I kick people's arses at anything.

It has nothing to do with the country. It's the fact that X is a Muslim. It's something only Muslims will understand.

I think it's stupid to say that playing a game is forbidden. Alright it's one thing if you play with real money and get ruined but he was just playing a simple game of cards what's wrong with that!? it's like suddenly saying super mario is a forbidden game oh noez- whoever played it should be banned to hell... pfft

But if he is a muslim that would be a good reason to not do cardgames like that. On the other hand maybe he interprets his belief differnt ly then you do. And about the part that only muslims would understand, that would mean that he didnt understand or that he in fact isnt a ("true"?) muslim.

You have to look into the reason why it's banned, it's the fact that it's related to gambling. The example you have given is terrible. A better example would be saying watching two humans engaging in sexual behavior (ie. porn) is forbidden, however as long as it's not real human (ie. Hentai), then it's ok.
