Is there an AR code, or any other way to let you receive an event multiple times?

You can backup the save file you're using with a flashcart, then save+restore multiple times.

True. Only problem is this... I can send the wondercard via rom on the flashcart, so Im picking them up on a retail copy on another ds. Can I backup my save from the retail cartridge? Might have to get another acekard lol, but don't wanna put too much into it.

Yes you can backup a save from your retail cartridge, for any Pokemongame prior to HG/SS you can use any given backuphomebrew using wifi or an extensioncart for the GBASlot of the DS/DS Light.
