I was able to trade just fine on local with my girlfriend's unhacked switch and my hacked one. I needed a wooloo for pokedex, and she traded it to me.

Trading / Battling etc locally between a hacked and non hacked switch will work fine for everyone. What won't work is obviously the non hacked switch cannot connect to LANPLAY as it doesn't have the kip.

Btw anyone having issues connecting to lan play should hop in the discord. Lots of help on there.

you do not need the kip, just install a client to your pc like mentioned on http://www.lan-play.com/install

Nothing special. We just traded on local instead of the internet. Worked just fine like that. Wish I had a better answer for you.

Mystery gift is only attainable via Nintendo's servers (or PKHex). LAN play is not true online as it uses third-party servers for you and your friends to connect to, not Nintendo's servers.
