Gaming pokemon soulsilver help

i have a problem with my pokemon soulsilver
when i try to recommend it to the nintendo channel it says it hasn't been registered in the channel i just ignored that
now when i try to transfer pokemon to pkmn black or use the relocator it says it's not compatible
help!

You can only transfer Pokemon from Genuine 4th Generation (HG/SS/D/P/Platinum) carts to Pokemon Black or White. You cannot transfer from flashcards unless you use Pokesav etc.

i have a retail cart
in the transfer thing it mentions pokemon heartgold and soulsilver and my friend is able to do all the things i cannot with my soulsilver game
maybe it's a mistake nintendo made while making my cart
