Team Rocket is a lot cooler... and unlike Galactic, the Grunts actually know WHY they are doing what they are doing- Galactic was a joke for an RPG antagonist team. Team Rocket is legit.

Pokemon Platinum is great game.
When people heard abou HGSS they forgot Platinum.
HGSS has better features but i like Platinum more.

I see... I just got PkmSS so I didn't know if I should just play that rather than Platinum.I also didn't know you could go to another region either.I'm glad you guys cleared this up for me.Now it makes me pissed that I can't even play PkmSS because it won't work.

But I still like Platinum too(btw,if anyone knows how to get fossil Pkm from eggs,I'd really be grateful for that info as well

sitck to platinum. Honestly, if your playing it then keep doing so! all this HG/SS talk makes people forget how great of a game platinum is (and how much of an improvement it is to slow ass D/P)

yea, 16 badges, yea two E4 types. yea two regions. so? plat still has battleground, battle frontier, contests, a challenging E4 and underground AS WELL AS all of the same online features. so what if there is no pokewalker (thats better if your playing on a flash cart) so what if pokes don't follow you.

people forget just how good of a game platinum still is.

SS/HG has battle frontier and a much more challenging E4 and safari park, and pokethlon. so what's your point exactly?
i say get both, they're both a lot of fun. i liked the underground in platinum, but SS has fun stuf too. plus you can trade pokes between the two '(if you have a middleman) so why not play both?

SS all the way. There's alot more legendaries and hours of gameplay aswell as area size to enjoy.

soulsilver is just silver in 3d..ish..with some extra features..stick with platinum if you don't care but get soulsilver if you wish to relive the awesomeness that was the 2nd generation lol

I personally prefer SS and HG because the variety of things you can do. Platinum only has 1 entire region and everything such as battle frontier, etc is in HG and SS and in the remakes you can travel between kanto and johto.

Maybe because gold and silver were one of my all time favorites XD

Pokemon HG and SS provide a better opportunity to get more Pokemon, have 2 regions to visit meaning 16 badges, is great for replayability, and has great nostalgic value. Platinum was too quick of a game and seemed very pointless after beatin the E4 for me. The storyline for HG and SS is much more fun in comparison to D/P/Pt. Those are just my 2 cents though.

Those were the reasons why i got Soulsilver too. Longer game, and the pokemon following you thing is interesting

There are a total of 493 Pokémon regardless of whether it's Platinum or SoulSilver.
I do believe however that you can get more Pokémon in SoulSilver without trading.
So technically, there are more Pokémon to be caught in SoulSilver, and less to be traded for.

Plus SoulSilver has 2 regions, 16 badges, a powered up Elite four (after beating Red) and Red, and it's a remake of the best pokemon generatin ever!
