try run the game in 4:3 and not 16:9 adjusted i found it fixed a lot of camera problems for me in games and cleaned up text.
I seem to be having the same issue.. If you change to Mupen64 instead of Mupen64-Next it actually fixes the issue.
However.. Once you get to the Pokemon Rating Results screen at the end of level 1 none of the photos you took will have pokemon in them and they'll all be counted and appear as Blank/Black photos. Meaning you can't progress further. Still trying to fix this myself.
