So there's an option to register your Wii number with platinum.

I've been trying to get this to work, but the registration confirmation message never appears on my Wii. I know my Wii can get messages, as I am able to email it.

Could it be that I just need to wait a few days for the Official release to go through, or do I have a problem?

Thanks for any help.

You're asking why online registration isn't going through for a game that hasn't been officially released yet?

Indeed I am, as every other online aspect of the game works fine. As they have since the day it was leaked last week, including the Wi-Fi plaza, which, I assume, requires some server-side software (Which also indicates a server that is up and running) to connect more than one DS user. And, seeing as the Wii need only connect to the GTS (which is fully functional in Platinum) and no other server (as far as I know), It should be capable of receiving the registration code message.

Now, do you have any constructive input, perchance your own experience with this feature? Because if not, lay off.

I have tried it on my own Wii and it doesn't work either. I'd like some input from some Japanese users who read this.

EDIT: I think I have the solution. You have to add [email protected] to your address book.

Thank you very much

Its basically a Wii Message Service that once your GTS trade is successful, it will send a message to your Wii Message Board.

However, it seems that that don't work on me ... added [email protected], waited for 20 mins with my DS and Wii on. No pin number had been received

I'm guessing it's because the game isn't out in your region yet. Even though the game can be played on any DS, the services such as the wfc-mail stuff is region locked, meaning that this service will only work for people with a US Wii.

How long does it take for Nintendo to confirm the registration of [email protected]? I have a feeling this is required for anything to happen? Or does Nintendo have set times where they check their mail i.e. M-F 9-5?
