Hacking pokemon platinum sav doesnt work

ok here's my story. I wanted to use someone else's sav file for my pokemon platinum (US). So i downloaded a .duc file from gbatemp (North American) and converted it to .sav using the link you provided. it became a 512mb file. But i saw the faq and i turned it into a 1mB file. When I tried to load my game, it had to create a sav file and it started a new game (the sav file didnt work).

,anyways,use the a07 firmware and make sure the saves have same filename(exampleokeplat.nds=Pokeplat.sav)

Use the unofficial software. It will use the correct size for the Pokemon save files.
