ROM Hack Pokemon platinum in-game guide idea.

I got the prima pdf guide, Ive converted the pages to jpeg, would there be a way to hack the rom and implement a guide (the images) to it such as add a guide section on the X menu which lets you pick from the jpeg's( I know it cant stay as jpeg )?
