I wanted to integrate my novel that I am writing with Pokemon and I wanted to know how extensive could I get if I picked a generation IV game. I'll just list the things I wanna do and if someone could just tell me if its possible.

-Script editing

-Sprite editing

-Title Screen Logo editing

-Event editing

-Trainer's poke teams editing

-Music editing (more like adding music rather than replacing)


For what I want to do I should be alright with sprite, team, and event editing

You can do all of it using a HEX Editor. Since the game is significantly larger than the average Pokemon game (even when trimmed), it may take you a very long time to do so, about 3 years of decent work.

Adding music, as far as I know, is pretty much impossible, and same with events. I may be wrong, though.
