Oh so you need a gateway card? I have one but the 3ds isn't on the right not the right firmware so it doesn't work...

Not sure if it was patched, but there's a way to clone using two 3ds' and two games (X/Y), and very precise timing lol, tutorials are on youtube

Well yeah but then again, if you have an older ds with a flashcart that works for that ds and your pokemon game is a retail cart just modify the .sav for a ROM using that older ds with flashcart then trade it over to pokemon x/y/or/as

To clone Pokemon in XY or ORAS, you would need Powersave. I have never used it but I think it is the same as Action Reply in DS.
