I wish I could do this, I know how to make all the edits I just can't decrypt my ROM for access to the .garc files due to 3ds firmware...

It's still cool to see these texture packs popping up and soon I think we will see model hacks too.

skin editing.. is almost the same proccess when you change a skin on a multiplayer game... other players see it as normal weapon because the data being modified is the game data (somewhere between the data on the rom and the display)the other computers don't know that you are using diferent game data that doesnt exist on the game..

for others being able to see it, the option to make the butterfree different colors like pink is needed in the original game (either by options\secrets or code leftovers)... in this case your save would say which colour the butterfly is, and you would only need to edit the save...
