ROM Hack Pokemon Cheat Causes Game to Freeze

I'm trying to use the cheat Have all Poffins, but when I do L + R + Start, my game freezes. This isn't only that cheat but any cheat that requires a person to press L + R + Start. Any fixes?

Edit: The card I use is the R4DS.

Where did you get the cheat? What version firmware of the R4DS and what Pokemon game?

I use the massively compiled CHEAT.DAT from your signature and I use the lastest R4DS firmware. The game I'm using is an Untrimmed Pokemon Diamond (U).

Edit: I got it to work. I downloaded the Yasu's Fixed _DS_MENU from the cheat thread. When I tried it before on my own, everything changed Japanese and didn't like it. But the one from the cheat thread kept mine English this time. Thanks anyway :]
