Gaming Pokemon, 5th Generation games.

Hi everyone. I made this Topic so you could express your opinions about the pokemon games that will (probably)come after the USA release of HG and SS. Do you think they must be created for The DS ? or not?, maybe for the next nintendo handheld console? What new features would you like that nintendo add to the new games? Do You think that pokemon is falling into something monotone or repetitive?

( This is purely speculation, nothing have been said about a new pokemon game for a handheld ( just a Wii title, Pokepark), the topic was created only for expressing opinions in a ( probably) upcoming game )

(With 5th Generation, i mean : Blue/red/yellow(1st) - Gold/Silver/Crystal(2nd) - Ruby/Saphire/Emerald (3rd) - Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (4th) - ???/???/???(5th)

@Anaxs: Yeah, the story in the games it's always the same, i hope they change it for the next release( but not in the way of Dark Pokemon and Such, i didn't like the GC games :S)

@Soulfire: Well, that's true. In the last generation weren't much "cute pokemon", they went with the powerfull, Big And Fat. ( Tangrowth, Electivire, Magmortar, Lickylicky, hate to say this, but the evolution of my favorite pokemon: TogeKiss). I hope they fix this in the new Games :S.

@spm12: Yeah, I want new features

, Maybe a Forecast detector? won't be very useful though ( no one will play in the rain with the console xD).

They did do everything in mind... how can they imagine more pokemon... i mean 493 was enough... someday we'll have to collect over 1000 pokemon lol

Till all the kiddies finally realize there playing the same game 3 times per generation,but honestly unless pokemon sales have a major drop off then they'll be around till the end of time.....

@BlackDave: InuYasha is right, pokemon will end when it's sales experiment a great Drop. In the meantime, that's not going to happen, There are thousands of fans all over the world, and Pokemon was and it'll continue to be the Franchise that had sell more copies in history.

@BlackDave: InuYasha is right, pokemon will end when it's sales experiment a great Drop. In the meantime, that's not going to happen, There are thousands of fans all over the world, and Pokemon was and it'll continue to be the Franchise that had sell more copies in history.

Man I want one of these Pokemon on the video but they just look like improved version of past generation (which is exactly what the developers of the game are doing every new generation they have to think of new designs for Pokemon...)

I'm surprised that they got this far. I remember in fourth grade my whole school was collecting those cards (that was in Belgium) then we started play the GB games and I remember going crazy for my birthday over Pokemon sapphire (then I got that problem with the internal clock not working but i fixed it by leaving my GBA on for 24 hours straight).

Heck they went with an anime that would follow the story of the games, then they came with the movies, then the new animes like battle dimension or ranger. They came with Pokemon electronic gadget like pocket tamagotchi with Pokemon instead.... dolls... they commercialised this thing... they got big with this so big that others wanted to copy that (digimon).

It's gonna be hard to see that go down... I'll say it'll end around the 10th generation or so lol

I have to say, some of the Fake pokemon shown in that video are really good. I hope nintendo take some of them, but that's not gona happen. Aniway, i remember going crazy in my birthday because my dad gave me a VHS with the first 5 chapters xD.

On topic: I think pokemon will last for about 1 or 2 generations ( WE already have A POKEMON GOD!!)
but i wish this never ends.

i reckon instead of adding more pokemon in the next few generations, the company should just concentrate on improving the storyline like instead of playing the good side all the time, why not play the bad side... like playing as the son/daughter of the head of Team Rocket and you have to complete many difficult tasks set out from your father to help him with his diabolical plan...

that's what i think anyway

That's a very good historyline! For example, being Giovani's son ( Silver) xD. I agree with you, but adding and discovering more pokemon is fun.

They should have a big explorable area like combining Sinnoh, Jhoto and Kanjo and Hoen (are the names spelled right? xD) all together plus a new world So that it would be possible but difficult to get almost all the pokemon (two versions of the game to force connectivity). Then they should have a fable like story to choose your own path that will lead you to villain or a hero.

and also have more features to Wi-fi (like a bigger underground system that's wi-fi and you can do more than mining and steal a flag lol... heck have like a phantasy star community down there (i know it's impossible but alternatives can help)

The games always end up being more fun, even though the stories are a bit repetitive. It'd be awesome if they made another game where you could visit all four regions though. I know, it's huge. And it'd be extremely long probably. I dunno, more to do.

I don't know if they're planning on a new gen or not. They are starting to run out of ideas when it comes to the Pokemon themselves though. Maybe they could concentrate on making other kinds of Pokemon games with the Pokemon they currently have.

That would be amazing if they did connect all the regions together. Pokémon games are always getting more fun. But slightly more repetitive. Need some new bizarre pokémon and a weird exciting new plot

Pokemon games ARE repetitive. The plot is always similar, some stupid team tries to take over the world and a 14 year old hero kid is chosen to save the world. I wonder what kind of new ugly Pokemon Nintendo would make up next, after all they just link some random animals and objects together and TADA they get a new Pokemon. For example:
1)Ohai, letz poot a nose on a block of steel, and makes it an COMPASS! So lets call it Nosepass!
2)New evolootionz timez olets put sum nose hairz on nosepass and make it floatz and look liek a moai statuez TADA Probopass eez born! ololololololol!!1!
