Look, when converting the files for using them as a background, it only accepts 256 colors, or less. And JPG has way to many colors...

I'm working on the pokemon sounds now btw.

EDIT: And by conversion what do you mean? Just saving the file in a different format? Infranview might help for that.

It's not the size, and not that it is viewable by moonshell, it's just that each red pixel in a JPG has another color. In PNG, the colors are just red.

So you're looking for a simplified or local palette?

I dunno. the whole palette thing is over my head. :s

Or are you talking about colors that get counted as transparencies when used in some things? (Like those pink areas in sprite rips)

I like Gerinych's DS logo better, but Curley's PokeDex is better, it uses the shape of the Official Pokemon Word

Would you be able to fully recreate the dex, the original one, Here into a PNG format, I have a lot of homework to do.. Just keep everything the same, Maybe have a few touchups, etc.. Thanks..

Hey nice work!

Curley, I think that a 24 bit bitmap might save the same way as a JPG.
Its just that windows sucks, when using a windows system and opening photos in an image editor, if you save, the quality is lost and the picture becomes visably larger in size. And more pixelated.

Its just cause windows sucks. Luckily they didn't do anything to .PNGs
