Hi,

My pointer is very sensitive in System Menu (ie. I must get closer to the TV and aim at a specific angle, or else the pointer either doesn't appear or blinks), but as soon as I enter the HBC, there is absolutely no problem whatsoever from the place I am sitting. It's obviously not hardware related, and there is no difference in lighting... How can I make the System Menu as sensitive (or less sensitive?) as the HBC?

What I don't understand is that the source of light is exactly the same when I browse the HBC, and yet the pointer works perfectly.

It is because it is programmed this way by Nintendo. When in Wii menu, the wiimote sensitivity is lower in order to conserve battery life. After all, it's big icons you point to.
In contrast, when in gameplay, the sensitivity is back to normal, ie pixel perfect for Wii's IR.
