Using RXTools is like driving a car with a hole in it's tire. Yeah it might be a pin hole but sooner or later it's going to go flat and you're basically saying screw you to a tow....
rows are expensive as hell I'll drive on the bare rim if I have too

So this newer CFWs allows me to run hombrew and still use an r4 clone (i basically play ds games with my 3ds)?

Well... I installed A9hl + Luma over Rx Tools yesterday, I was afraid before but this post made my mind.

nintendogs all regions and region free works on rxtools. got fed up with trying to fix it for luma

They don't work on eur consoles, at least the usa/rf cia's which is all I can find. There is an error message stating an error has occurred and the console will be reset, upon starting.

They work perfectly on rxtools.

Why are you using a repacked region free cia? The CFWs of today you don't even need to unpack-patch-repack the cia for region free, they use loader replacement to enable region free (for both cartridges and cias). With the updated CFW you can download the usa/jpn/whatever-region cia from Nintendo server and install it and they will work just fine.
IF Luma3DS has a bug that it cannot install region free patched cias, it's because no one cares to use this method anymore, since with loader replacement we don't need to do that anymore.

"IF" because you never said that you tested with other region free patched cias. So, it's impossible to know if what you are said is scientifically true, since you didn't use the scientific method to know if it's a Luma bug or the repacked rf patched cias that you are using bug.

They don't work even if you use freeshop to download, which only has US and JPN versions as I guess the tickets are not available EUR version. Also there are no eur downloads of nintendogs available any more, all dead links.

Have you tried getting US versions of nintendogs working on a eur console using Luma 6.6? I'm guessing you haven't. Whatever you say I've tried, it don't work. Please don't suggest the region setting file method for luma next, it doesn't work, it was the first thing i tried.

If this is a bug, report it so it can be taken care of. Sitting around pouting about it doesn't fix the problem and going back to an out of date CFW is an even worse solution

rxtools runs them fine..jfi

edit.. Regards the ad hominem attack.. Pathetic, but totally expected.

But I just said that current CFWs use loader replacement to have a universal region free without having the trouble to patches each cia that you want. Using current CFW you can just download the USA version of nintendogs using freeshop and install it in your EUR console and play it just fine.

Oh I tried, I just installed the JPN version in my US console -> if the region free of Luma3DS was broken, any out of region cia would fail to load.
I downloaded from freeshop, that being said, now I'm sure that the problem is the cia file you are using.

Well I'll try again to be sure, I'll download usa freeshop version on eur console. I don't expect different results though. Will report back.

Yes, please, report back, if there is a issue with a very active project, we should report for the developer to fix it

Error occurred restart again. It is weird as other out of region roms I've tried so far work fine. It seems to be isolated to USA nintendogs and eur consoles.

I'm going to try a jpn version from freeshop now, just for a test....edit, doesn't work either

Strange, it started to crash on mine too, for no good reason, at first, it opened it just fine.

@Crystal the Glaceon, can you try that too? I would like to know if it happens to you too to report on Luma Github after the proble with the repository is fixed
