I didn't even suggest the OTPless method. I assumed he was using the older method.

it worked finally loaded luma for the first time <3
and my H&S app has returned...
now all i have to do is
-unlink nands
-downgrade red
-obtain OTP
-merge????become cool liek u guize...

Don't bother setting up the CFW right now, it's not important (yet)

the reason im not using this guide:

is because it doesnt explain how to get onto FW 2.1.0
it doesnt say anything about sys/emu in that regard to 2.1.0.

Always sysNAND. The new guide does not use emuNAND at all, except the optional section for flashing emuNAND to sysNAND.

You do a ctrtransfer on sysnand. That downgrades it to 2.1. After that you install a9lh and flash a nand backup with hourglass9. Just make a backup of whatever nand you wanna keep.

It's actually pretty simple.

It's a lot safer and easier than using the outdated method from Plailect's old guide. Like in the link above, the reason why it wasn't used before, is because the RE work hadn't gone into it to make it a reality and a viable option.

im backing up my formatted emunand in prep for downgrading and obtaining the OTP w/ OTPhelper...

however im debating if i should scrap all of it and try to follow this new guide i dont understand as well.
in regards to using someone elses nand backup with CTR transfer... i dont know if thats safe.

the outdated guide seems better to me because the current one doesnt detail how to use ctrtransfer or what files go where in downgrading sysnand to 2.1

i started this @11:30pm and now its 3am...
my rxtools and all my games/saves are gone. so theres no going back im gonna figure out how to do this A9lh stuff... somehow...
