Hello,

I need help regarding the latest version of Retroarch for the Nintendo Switch. Recently I decided to update it, and before I never had any trouble since I never updated and Retroarch was at 1.9.0 at the time. Now though, after updating, when I go to the Homebrew Menu, the icon looks like this:

And when I try to click on it, it brings up an error message and closes. I tried everything: updating via FTP, HB App Store, even installing the files directly. I even formatted the SD Card and still nothing! I am at my wit's end. Can anyone help me figure this out??? :(

Try running a disk scan/repair on your SD card from your computer?
I'd recommend using Hekate's USB tools page to mount the drive via a USB cable, save wear on the SD slot/board.

Tried that. No luck.

I researched further and found that the issue could be related to sigpatches and/or forwarding. Still, I find it weird that only Retroarch is affected and not my other apps (I even downloaded another app from the HB store and it works fine). However, I cannot find any step by step instructions that tells me what I need to do. Any help on that, anyone???

UPDATE: I figured it out!

Turned out I needed to update the sigpatches and it was pretty easy to do. Now I got RetroArch to work so now I can update to the latest version with no problems. Thanks to all who tried to help and sorry for wasting everyone's time. 🙂
