Hacking Please help trying to config my gateway 3ds

I am having the same problem as digitalforums...

I already installed the blue card.
SD has Launcher
Get into settings - ds profile, screen goes grey and then black and then restarts.
insert red card... nothing.

I tried with different roms and different microSDs but nothing.

Aside from what you just said, state your 3DS firmware. It must between 4.1 through 4.5.

The other thing is are you using win32 disk imager to write the 3DS roms to the microSD?
If not you can download it here.

The red card IS NOT A DRAG AND DROP flashcart.

Im running 4.5-10U
and I'm using win32 disk imager.
I do have roms that I got from different websites.

I already played some regular DS roms with the blue cart and original DS carts, with no problem.
Also I am trying to run the GW-test rom. but I cant get it to work either.

hold L and enter Ds profile and it stays with the time and date with music on the background. insert the red gateway and then when I press L again, nothing happens...

Just be 100% you're doing it in the correct order.

Launcher.dat on root of SD
All copy pasted from R4i into blue card
Start blue card, install, choose correct region, power off/home
Write game to the MicroSD you want to use
Insert red card
Settings, other settings, profile, ds profile

The first time I started a game it stayed at the black screen for 10 minutes or so until I reset it and redid gateway mode. Wonder what that problem was.

yep that is exactly what im doing...

Im afraid I may have a bad gateway... can you help me explain how the GW-testrom works? or how to make it work?
I want to check that as a last resource. I dont know what else to do...

other wise is going to be complicated to get a reimbursement or an exchange, since I live outside of the US and I got it through a friend ordered from Modchipsdirect.

Ok well so far from what I know about the GW Testrom but just follow the instructions? I think a Teal/Yellow light means a problem you can't fix?

Sometimes it is just the blue cart, if you got another flashcart you can use that to run the exploit.

The blue card works, I've been playing nds roms on that one.

About the test. Well the light stays blue and nothing. It won't blink or anything. I thought it would display some text but it doesn't.

The test lights up on the card.

read the Hardware Diagnostics README.txt in the zip file you used to setup your blue cart. Toward the bottom is the diagnostic readouts.

Thanks! I found the info on the gateway website too. I will try to get a new sd tomorrow and try again.

What brand and speed would you recomend?

I suggest not buying any microSD from a flascart site, ebay or chinese website, they tend to be fake. If your buying online, I suggest a reliable website known not to sell fakes and ships to your place. A local big name store would do if you have something like that in your area.

You can get a class 10 8GB or 16GB will do.

I got today a SanDisk 16gb class 10 MicroSD and still the same problem...
