I bought myself a Switch OLED and have allowed my young son to use my old Switch in docked mode to play Mario Kart. I created him a child account but the problem is that he is constantly exiting the game, accidentally switching user accounts and messing with the Switch settings. I've played with Parental Controls but I can see no way to stop him getting into the settings or possibly messing up my user account save games. What can I do? Can I remove my adult account from the Switch so it has only his child account on it? Will he still be able to play games purchased on my account? Can I protect the Switch settings from modification?

Thanks for any help!

My idea - if your switch was hacked, or if you bought a controller adapter, you may be able to remap / disable the home button on the controller.
So, you'd give him a controller, home button wouldn't work, and he wouldn't be able to quit the game that you load up for him.

I may even go as far as, getting an xbox one controller, opening it up, disabling the home button with some kapton tape, and using it with this on the switch.

on settings you can disable the user profile select for each game.
you can also setup the parental control and allow only Mario Kart.
