    Hi Everyone,

I recently hacked my vWii and am unable to get either WiiFlow or USBLoaderGX to work. The errors I receive are as follows:

    WiiFlow: "Exception (dsi) occured"

USBLoaderGX: I receive a message stating that "USBLoader requires IOS58" and then the screen goes black and I need to unplug my Wiiu to restart it.

WiiFlow was loading, but it wouldn't see my hard drive. I have a WBFS partition and a FAT32 partition. I copied a backup from the WBFS partition to the FAT32 partition and WiiFlow then allowed me to select a USB1 drive. Then it crashed and I've recieve the same error since

I tried using this guide to get USBLoaderGX to work. http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios249
I was getting it to load before, and I could see the games on my harddrive, but it would crash when loading. at which point I would be sent to the homebrew channel again. After following the guide in the link, my vWii just crashes as described above.

I am able to load roms using emulators still, so the FAT32 portion of the drive is visable by the vWii.

After all of this, I tried to install d2x and I receive an error from it, not allowing me to do anything.

And last, to make things just dandy...the hackmii installer said it wasn't able to install bootmii. SO I don't have a backup I can restore with.

Can somebody please help me to gain access to my backups using a USB Loader?

So basically what you're saying is you didn't bother to follow ANY of the guides here regarding hacking vWii

You're not suppose to use wii guides on vwii. You can brick it.

Learn how to perform a syscheck by reading the sticky "The Definitive vWii Hacking Guide!"

Then post your results in that same thread.

Well I got this far...I followed some guides...But I either followed some poor guides or I followed some guides very poorly. I'm thinking the latter...

Thank you Kafluke, I will do that.

    Wow! Just Wow!

    Do not delete ANYTHING!

Read until you are understanding everything. Then, BEFORE you do anything ask questions here.
If you delete HBC or for that matter any cios versions you have, you MAY permanently screw yourself.

OK. So I should've followed THAT guide! If I had, the first thing I would've known is that vWii is not hacked the same way as a Wii. I should've done more research.

    Here is my SysCheck:

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

That's what it says in the top right corner of my WiiU System Settings screen...

I must be missing where to find it. Is there a specific vWii Firmware I can look for?

I will backup my NAND and vIOS files as soon as I can, using the guides I just read....I will ONLY do backups.

Thank you SO MUCH for your help so far!

To explain more clearly, some vWii files have been changed overtime with system updates.
Since you are on the current firmware as of 6/25/2016. You must have all the updates to the vWii system or you will have trouble updating your Wii U firmware 5.5.1 later on.
All vWii system firmwares are 4.3.

Oh boy. I am surprised you didn't install boot mii and tons of WiiWare wads. There are stickies up top you can read them.

@CJB100 's guide is a very, very good one, once you get yourself sorted, follow that guide and you'll have no problems.

OK, I dumped my vWii keys using xyzzy, I made a backup of my NAND using DumpMii NAND and I dumped all of my vIOS files using Yet ANother Bluedump Mod.

I take it I need to repair my system now. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can do that?

I'm going to move forward with CJB100's guide, running d2x and IOS236 Installer.

Unless there is something i'm missing...?

Yes, if everything is backed up you should be ready to proceed. Your vIOS all look good.
So, on to cios install but if you run into any problems come back here before you commit to something that seems strange.

So, are WiiWare and VC really that big of a deal? I have all the ones from my Wii installed on vWii and working fine. Still bad wads floating around? o.O
